What is IAF

IAF (International Accreditation Forum Inc.) is a worldwide association of Conformity Assessment Accreditation Bodies and other bodies interested in conformity assessment in the areas of management systems, products, processes, services, personnel, validation and verification, and other comparable conformity assessment programs.

IAF main function is to create a unified global conformity assessment program that minimizes risk for businesses and their customers by ensuring that certified certifications, validation and verification statements can be trusted. IAF also a significant global forum for establishing ideas and techniques for conducting conformity assessment that will provide market acceptance confidence, recognize across the world and ensure the universal application by IAF Accreditation Body Members and their accredited certification bodies. consistently. IAF will need to ensure that its Accreditation Body Members only accredit bodies that are qualified to conduct the work they do and have no conflicts of interest.
